THE SLOANS PARIS FASHION WEEK EDIT

THE SLOANS PARIS FASHION WEEK EDIT

If there is one thing the team of best hairdresser Sydney and Lane Cove love – it’s Paris Fashion Week time! The glamour. The style. The excitement. We love it all. At Sloans Lane Cove and Sloans North Sydney we promise that our hairdressing teams are dedicated to creating cutting-edge hair colour and hairstyles inspired by international catwalk fashion, to ensure your hair is a season ahead of the rest. Here we highlight our favourite looks from the recent Paris Fashion Week AW19 shows.

Miu Miu

This look pretty much demanded we start growing out our hair for true Rapunzel like locks. Note: This doesn’t mean no trims! In fact long hair like this needs even more trimming than short hair. The looks had added impact with the intense colour choices of platinum or black and the short cropped fringes, making this is a stand-out look.  The look itself is super cool- loose, free and very devil may care. In short, it’s more about the impact of the foundation than the style.

Alexander McQueen

We aren’t sure we will ever see a fashion week that doesn’t highlight the ponytail, but we still love seeing designers fresh takes on them season after season. Our fave this time round? Alexander McQueen’s leathered version. Models featured a super sleek look with hair pulled back into low ponytails. The highlight feature was definitely the tough looking leather cord, impeccably wrapped the full length, making this look feminine and tough all at the same time.

Yohji Yamamoto

We loved this fun take on the top knot and the contrast it provides with it’s textured messy finish. This look is perfect for those times you are dressed up but want a more grungy finish to your hair to give your look a little more edge. The key here is lots of texture and movement and they even wove leather and string into the looks at the back for added dimension. We also love that this look works with a strong lip for added impact.

Hermes

This iconic luxury brand alluded to their equestrian history with this super chic style. This ultra-modern braid was immaculately create without a single hair out of place. The look from the front features a deep side part and sleek finish, before being pulled back low at the nape of the neck. The hair was then tightly pulled into braids which were then tucked under to create a squared off effect and a much neater finish than a traditional braid.
