Happy New Year! It’s a fresh, shiny new year and we are thrilled to be back to our hairdressing best at our Sloans Lane Cove and Sloans North Sydney salons for 2019. As we enjoyed our little break over the new year, we couldn’t help but reflect on the amazing experiences we had in 2018. It was a huge year for us both inside and outside of the salon with Scott and the team achieving some incredible things.
It’s hard to narrow our top moments down, but here are just a few of our favourite highlights;
Telstra Perth Fashion Festival
Scott has been Hair Dresser Sydney Director for this festival for several years now and we still get excited every year when we jump on the plane to Perth. This year was one of the busiest, looking after what seemed like endless shows featuring countless Australian designers, we created some very Instagram worthy looks!
L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2019
We had our most successful year ever with 6 of our amazing team named Finalists- a huge accomplishment. Chris, Idy, Brittany and Isobel were all named NSW State Finalists, PLUS Scott was named National Finalist and Ruby was named National Rising Star Finalist! A pretty impressive result if we do say so ourselves and we will keep you posted on the National results soon.
Nicole Trunfio Cover Shoot
We are no strangers to VIP’s here at Sloans, but it was still such a treat for Scott to get to spend time with homegrown supermodel Nicole Trunfio during his time at the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival. As Ambassador for the event, former local Nicole and her glam team were helicoptered into some of WA’s most stunning secret spots to shoot a cover story for STMP magazine. Scott directed the hair capturing her windswept natural beauty at this very special shoot.
Beauty Crew X Sloans
We gave beauty guru from Beauty Crew, Iantha Yu, a couple of fresh new colours, first up a metallic transformation then a stunning fresh blonde as she started trialing the incredible new Kerastase Extentioniste Protocole range. We also provided expert commentary for some of their most popular online stories.
Dannii Minogue
There aren’t many people we love more than the powerhouse that is Dannii and we were thrilled to look after her again in 2018, making sure her cut and colour were always looking their best for being in front of the camera or on the red carpet.
MBFWA
We watched as Idy and Chris headed off to Sydney Fashion Week to assist backstage creating some of the most exciting looks of the week. They were lucky enough to assist Renya Xydis on the Client Liasion show and Lauren McCowan on the C/MEO COLLECTIVE show.
