Summer in Sydney is just the best and we are alternating time in the salon with time in the sun but with that comes a few warnings! We all know we need to smother ourselves with sunscreen but there are also a few things you need to consider when it comes to your hair and getting ready for balmy nights out.
First up the sun is still up til late, so it’s time to incorporate a hat into your hair regime. Now this doesn’t mean that your hair gets forgotten, instead you can make it the star. Some tousled waves or a sleek low ponytail at the neck are the perfect way to highlight your locks while keeping them protected.

Sea salt sprays are ideal as they give you that covetable all day at the beach look with the added benefits of moisture and hair nourishing ingredients. We are obsessed with L’Oreal Professionnel TECNIART Beach Waves. This texturising salt spray provides an amazing beach hair effect, without the rough touch. Think of it as the styling essential for a matte, texturised look. Spray onto dry or damp hair and work with fingers. You can also apply it before using styling heat tools to create texturised, matte waves. Brush through the curls with fingers and dishevel ends for a messy finish.
L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Savage Panache
When it is hot and steamy you want products that are going to help with adding grit and texture to counteract any moisture. This is a dry touch texturising powder spray that is perfect to add grip, texture and volume to enhance any hairstyle and it’s so versatile it can be used for day and night looks. Simply apply to dry hair in even strokes anywhere you want lift and texture and the work it into the hair.
L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Super Dust
This is a volumising and texturising powder with a matte finish that is especially great for shorter styles, especially lobs when you want that messy, tousled and backcombed look. Shake before use and then sprinkle powder into the palm of your hand. Apply to dry hair throughout the lengths and ends to give hair volume. For more volume, apply directly onto the roots, shaking the bottle 1cm from the scalp.
